Lehigh Valley International Airport was built near the city of Allentown, in the American state of Pennsylvania. The airport was built in the late 30s of the last century. It started serving scheduled flights in 1935. The first passenger terminal was built in the late 40s of the last century. During the Second World War, the airport served as a military airfield and a base for the US Navy Forces, as well as for the civil air patrol.
