Information and Customer Care Desks

There are two infodesks located in the Departures area of Terminals A and B. In addition, there is a flight information board in Terminal A Departures and 96 screens, providing flight information, located throughout the airport. A telephone information service (tel: (0)51 647 9615) is also available. A tourist information counter is located in Arrivals in Terminal A; staff can provide information on hotels, restaurants, events and city attractions.

Available Facilities and Services

Money withdrawal and Communication facilities: There is a bank on the first floor of Terminal A. There are ATMs and bureaux de change in Terminals A and B. A total of 53 payphones are located throughout the airport and there is a post office in Terminal A. Cafe and restaurants: Bars and restaurants can be found in both terminals. There is also a restaurant outside the terminals on Via Triumvirato adjacent to car park P3. Shopping facilities: Various shops, including newsagents and tobacconists, a shoe shop, a clothes shop, a leather goods and accessories shop, and a shop selling regional food produce, are located in both terminals. Duty-free shopping is also available in Terminals A and B. Luggage services: The lost property office is located on the ground floor of Terminal A. Other services: Two Marconi Club VIP lounges, for holders of appropriate tickets, are located in both terminals. Baby-changing facilities are available in all ladies' toilets. There is a children's play area in the self-service and restaurant area on the second floor of Terminal A, featuring cartoon films and a special menu. Helpphones, for assistance with children, are located in both terminals. Special bags and identification tags are available from check-in desks for transporting pushchairs onboard the aircraft.

Car Parking Info

There are 3000 parking spaces at Bologna G Marconi Airport, 850 of which are free of charge. The free parking areas are located at the airport entrance and another close to the airport, on Via dell'Aeroporto. Short-term parking is available outside Arrivals, medium-term parking (P1 and P2) is available outside Terminals A and B (Departures) and long-term parking (P3) is available in front of the restaurant and cargo bays. Payment can be made by cash, debit card or credit card upon leaving the car park or at the automated machines in Terminal A (Arrivals). A valet service is also available on the ground level of P2.

Driving by car from/to Bologna

From the Bologna bypass (tangenziale), passengers should take exit 4 and follow signs to the airport. From the A14, they should take the Bologna – San Lazzaro exit; once on the bypass road, they should then take exit 4 for the airport. From the A13, passengers should take the Bologna – Arcoveggio exit; then, once on the bypass road, they should take exit 4 for the airport. From the A1, passengers should take the Bologna – Casalecchio exit; then, once on the bypass, they should take exit 4 for the airport.

Public Transportation from/to Bologna

By Railway: Train: The airport is located about 6km (3.7 miles) from Bologna central railway station, which has connections to all major destinations across Italy and Europe. Access to the railway station is by the Aerobus bus service, which departs from the airport every 15 minutes 0605-2345 daily (journey time: 20 minutes). How to reach: By Taxi: Taxi services are available outside Arrivals at both terminals. By Bus: The Aerobus departs every 15 minutes 0605-2345 daily from outside Arrivals (Terminals A and B) and runs to Bologna central railway station and the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes). Tickets can be bought on the bus. An additional service runs to the trade fair centre when trade shows take place between September-May, except during the Motor Show. There is also a bus service to/from Modena Airport and Modena city centre. Services depart every 15 minutes 0615-2045 daily (journey time: 60 minutes).
