IHG Opens Its First Hotel in East Malaysia

InterContinental Group has brought its signature style and services to the Malaysian state of Sabah. The Kota Kinabalu hotel operating under the Holiday Inn brand is going to be the first property of the famous hotelier in East Malaysia. Comfortably situated in the heart of Sabah’s capital, the new hotel offers numerous advantages that make it a suitable choice for both business and leisure guests.

Holiday Inn Express Kota Kinabalu City Centre officially opened on December 21, 2020. It takes only 13 minutes to reach the hotel from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The Holiday Inn brand is a popular value option with clean and comfortable rooms. Guests of this hotel can enjoy proximity to such popular attractions of the state’s capital as Kota Kinabalu City Waterfront, Suria Shopping Mall, Welcome Seafood Restaurant, Gaya Street Sunday Market, Signal Hill Observatory, Suria Shopping Mall, and the main city mosque.

This Kota Kinabalu hotel is perfect for everyone seeking unique experiences. For example, Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal is only a 10-minute drive away.
