The Tallest Hotel in the World Will Open in Dubai Marina

News The First Group is going to build a new hotel in Dubai that will be a new milestone for the global hospitality industry. Located in a tower in Dubai Marina, this is going to be the tallest hotel in the world. The name of the future project has already been revealed – Ciel.

Headquartered in Dubai, the First Group is an experienced developer that mostly specializes in upper-midscale hotels. The company is going to build the tallest hotel in the world together with a Chinese developer, China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC). For the Dubai developer, this is going to be their 18th project in the emirate. The First Group says that this is also going to be their most complicated project. With its prime location in Dubai Marina, Ciel hotel will offer everything that trendy tourists want – fabulous views, exceptional service, broad entertainment options, and fine dining.

CRCC is well-known for its extra-large developments. This is also the second-largest engineering and construction company in the world (by revenue). The two companies have been collaborating for more than a decade. The design was developed by NORR.

Open in a 365-meter tall tower building, the Ciel hotel in Dubai will feature 1,042 guestrooms and suites. The hotel will offer some exclusive options as the Sky Terrace bar on the rooftop, as well as an infinity pool and an observation deck perfect for one-of-a-kind views of the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah, and the marina. It will take 3 years to complete this ambitious project as the hotel is set to open in 2023.

Ciel will be definitely a worthy addition to the Dubai Marina that is famous for its signature skyscrapers. The building will have a huge, 300-meter tall atrium with a vertical garden. The design of the building was inspired by Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese concept that focuses on elegance, simplicity, and warmth. Naturally, such a big hotel will have any interesting dining and wellness options. Ciel will have several dining venues including the all-day dining restaurant Sunset Lounge and Horizon Bar. It will also feature a health club and exclusive spa with oceanfront views. Even though the hotel is under construction, it has already won several prestigious awards such as the Best International Hotel Architecture and Best Hotel Architecture Arabia at the 2019 International Property Awards (IPAs), and four awards at the 2019-20 Dubai, Africa & Arabia Property Awards.
