Radisson has recently opened a very interesting hotel in Wismar, northern Germany, under its Park Inn by Radisson brand. This is a midscale 98-room hotel that will certainly appeal to all fans of ships and sea-inspired designs. The look of the hotel was developed together with MV Werften Fertigmodule so that it precisely matches the ship design and guestrooms look like cabins.
The Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Wismar enjoys a fabulous location in the old district that was particularly famous during the Hanseatic League age. A special ceremony preceded the official opening of the new hotel. During this event that brought together more than 150 specially invited guests, the owner of MV Werften, the managing director of MV Werften, and the Wismar’s Mayor cut the blue ribbon to symbolically celebrate the launch.
Guests of this event mentioned that the opening of this hotel is special to them because the Park Inn by Radisson Wismar has a truly unique design that separates it from the rest of the city’s hotels. As the owner of MV Werften mentioned, this hotel project successfully brings together such important and popular areas of business as cruises and tourism. For the shipbuilding company, this partnership is also a great way to help local businesses and make its contribution to the development of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
As it was mentioned above, the new hotel features 98 guest rooms and suites, all of which come with gorgeous furniture and other elements of décor exclusively produced by MV Werften at its factory that normally makes furniture for ship cabins. The hotel’s look was inspired by two things the historic port of Wismar and ships. It is hard to find a more suitable hotel for all tourists who love the sea.
The Park Inn by Radisson Wismar also features two conference rooms, a lounge area with striking views of the port area of Wismar, and a bar. Dining facilities are represented by a restaurant that mostly serves healthy food made from locally sourced ingredients. The hotel’s management underlines that their hotel is suitable for different categories of visitors including group and individual tourists, as well as business travelers due to close proximity to the historic part of Wismar and its shipyard. Families with children of different ages are also welcome. The staff invites guests to spend at least one night at the hotel because it is not easy to find a place where guests can enjoy the atmosphere of a cruise ship while still remaining on the land.
