W Hotel in London Offers Advanced In-room Technology to Its Guests

News W London Leicester Square has started a multi-million-pound renovation, during which the company will upgrade all 192 rooms and suites. In an attempt to explore the concept of modern luxury and provide guests with the up-to-date technologies, W introduced a fully revamped look of its rooms. Not only has the design changed to more vibrant and provocative but also it was revealed that the hotel will adopt innovative in-room features to grant guests full control of their stay.

Acknowledging that every guest of W London is unique, the hotel became the first company in the UK with the full integration of the DigiValet technology. This is a tablet-based system that allows guests to control all aspects of their stay starting from check-in. Guests can also select music and lighting that will be automatically turned on upon entering. There are many other features that guests can customize in accordance with their preferences. The upgraded rooms of the famous London hotel will also feature unique “techorative” pillows created by artist and fashion wizard Jack Irving.

All rooms will come with a special tablet with a user-friendly interface that allows changing such parameters as lighting, in-room temperature, and media. Guests can also enjoy simple access to personal streaming services, as well as listen to the latest music that is currently played in the city. For this purpose, W London launched a partnership with Kobalt, a company specializing in music playlists. Kobalt will prepare curated playlists featuring the most talented and up-and-coming artists from London.

W London will offer one more interesting feature for all music fans. The new Soundtrackyourbrand technology lets guests listen to music played at this time at any of the 55 W Hotels around the world. These features are not everything that the tablet can offer. It can even advise guests on best entertainment and dining destinations in the city, as well as the list of upcoming events in London.

All rooms will get the new Mini Mega Bar with a range of ingredients for all kinds of cocktails. The tablet has a list of the most popular cocktails and detailed video instructions on how to make them. Of course, everyone is welcome to visit the hotel’s bar, The Perception. Moreover, it is possible to book a table at the bar with just one click. The same applies to W London’s AWAY Spa.
