Park Inn to Open a Hotel in Vilnius Airport
The Park Inn comes to Lithuania with its brand new project – a hotel in Vilnius Airport. Named the Park Inn by Radisson Vilnius International Airport Hotel, the new hotel is set to open in 2020. Located not far from the VNO Business and Retail Park, the hotel will be just 300 meters away from the airport. The distance to the city center is approximately 6km. The opening of the new hotel is in line with the current trend of the growing hotel supply in the Lithuanian capital. In 2017, almost 2 million room nights were sold in Vilnius, which is 3.7% more than in 2016.
The new 120-guestroom hotel will become the sixth hotel in Lithuania by Rezidor Hotel Group, including properties in the pipeline. This is also the fourth hotel in Vilnius for the internationally famous hotelier. Currently, Rezidor has mostly Radisson Blu hotels but plans to add more Radisson RED properties. In total, the hotelier has 18 hotels in the Baltic States with more than 4,100 guest rooms.
According to the spokesman of Rezidor, there is a growing demand for upper midscale hotel brands in Europe, and Park Inn by Radisson perfectly fits this momentum. The hotelier also thinks it is a perfect match for the baroque city of Vilnius. This city is widely recognized as one of the fastest developing business gateways in the region, and the area near the Vilnius Airport develops at a fast pace. Demand for hotel rooms is growing as well, so it is a very attractive destination for investors and large hotel chains.
The Park Inn by Radisson Vilnius Airport Hotel is located approximately 6km away from the city center and only 300 meters from the Vilnius International Airport. The hotel will be primarily targeted at business visitors and will have a restaurant, gym, lounge area, functional lobby, and more than 500 square meters of meeting space.
