Hard Rock Hotels Come to Davos at the End of the Year
Hard Rock Hotels International decided to expand their European portfolio and strengthen presence in the Swiss Alps by opening a hotel in Davos. Launched in collaboration with International Hospitality Service AG, Hard Rock Hotel Davos is set to open in December 2017, bringing its signature accommodation and services to the famous city.
The hotel will open in a rebranded property. Previously, Spenglers Hotel Davos was operating in the magnificent historic building constructed more than 130 years ago. When remodeling the hotel, the designer team will give tribute to noble people connected with the building, namely, Willem Jan Holsboer and Dr. Alexander Spengler. Holsboer gave rise to plans regarding the railway line to Davos. The name of Dr. Alexander Spengler is internationally famous as he was the first person to prove benefits of the high altitude climate and open a sanatorium there. Hard Rock will keep the heritage of the luxury boutique hotel while adding some signature music-inspired features that the brand is famous for.
Spenglers Hotel Davos was renovated just a year ago, so the building is in good condition. As expected, Hard Rock Hotel Davos will get the design carefully developed by music experts. Guests will see traditional priceless artifacts exhibited throughout the property. At the same time, the Davos hotel will reflect local music and art in its look. As the brand is developing, Hard Rock plans to expand in the most influential and popular cities around the world. Davos is widely recognized as a prime destination with pristine climate, excellent entertainment, and rich culture. The highest town in Europe regularly hosts important events such as the World Economic Forum.
The new Hard Rock hotel in Davos is located in the central part of the town, so guests will not have any trouble reaching all popular landmarks. Proximity to the central train station also means quicker access to Zurich. Thanks to such a fantastic location, guests of the hotel will enjoy all entertainments the town can offer, including shopping in boutiques, dining, ski lifts, museums, golf course, and even an ice hockey club.
All guest rooms will be totally redesigned. The hotel will get 111 gorgeous rooms, 31 of which will be one to three bedroom serviced apartments. Hard Rock Hotel Davos will offer an on-site historic chapel for booking. The chapel is a stunning place with a functioning organ and fantastic natural acoustics that can become a perfect venue for weddings, concerts, and other events. As skiing is an essential activity in Davos, the hotel will get a ski room where guests can store their equipment.
