Sheraton Macao hotel in Macao has been recently extended, and as many as 2,067 new guestrooms were added to it. This became possible after Sands China Ltd., the parent company of Sands Cotai Central and the subsidiary of the internationally famous Las Vegas hotel developer, opened the Earth Tower.
Currently, the hotel has 3,896 guestrooms and 273 posh suites in total. The opening of the new tower has made the hotel not only the largest Starwood-branded property in China, but also the biggest Starwood hotel in the world.
The brand new Earth Tower has the same design concept as the famous Sky Tower. Guests of the hotel will be delighted to know that the new tower has added not only new guestrooms, but also two new pools. The Tiki Pool on the eighth floor features stunning views of the Cotai Strip. By the way, this pool is only for adults. The second pool is located on the fourth floor and is called the Jaya pool. This pool has such a distinguishing feature as a whirlpool. All the pools (now the hotel has three of them) are equipped with private cabanas and day beds. Their total square is really large as they can accommodate as many as 1,500 guests at a time. Meeting facilities of the hotel have also been expanded together with the opening of the new tower. Now their total square is more than 150,000 sq. ft. To the service of business travellers are 133 individual spaces for meetings, and a huge ballroom perfect for all kinds of events. It can accommodate up to 4,000 visitors.
Guests of the hotel are welcome to use such signature services of Sheraton as, for example, Preferred Guest check-in.
