IHG to Open Hotels in Bintan, Indonesia
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced its debut in Bintan, Indonesia. These will be Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach and Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach. Both the hotels are set to open in 2019 and will enjoy a fantastic location in Lagoi Bay area.
Each of the two hotels will target different groups of travelers and, therefore, will offer various services. The Hotel Indigo brand is tied to the local culture and history of the neighborhood. It will be a fantastic choice for travelers who prefer boutique hotels and seek authentic experiences together with the quality one would expect from an international brand. The Holiday Inn brand is an awesome midscale choice with friendly service and modern comfort.
According to the company’s spokesman, Indonesia is currently a key market for IHG. It’s an emerging business destination and a conveniently located country for leisure travel as it is easy to reach Indonesia from Singapore, Australia, and Southeast Asia. IHG hotels in Bali, Semarang, and Jakarta saw a sufficient growth of visitors last year. The two new hotels will be opened in partnership with PT. Graha Agung Indahsentosa, an established partner of IHG.
There is some information about the new hotels. Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach will have 250 guest rooms and will offer midscale accommodation for tourists. The hotel is particularly good for family travelers as there will be a large swimming pool and various food options including specialty and all-day dining restaurants. Moreover, the hotel will provide guests with the “Kids Eat & Stay Free” offer with all-inclusive dining for young guests. Special options for business travelers will include a grand ballroom for 300 people, eight meeting spaces, and individual function rooms for 20 to 100 participants.
Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach will be a perfect choice for travelers who want to get acquainted with local cuisine. The boutique hotel will offer several locally inspired restaurants and cafes. Besides that, Hotel Indigo will have an infinity swimming pool, gym, meeting and board rooms. Guests of both the hotels will gain access to a premium spa located on a 9.2-hectare large beachfront site. As Bintan International Airport is set to open next year, the peaceful Indonesian resort is expected to greet twice more visitors than current 320,000 people.
