It’s not a secret that many hotel guests do not work out while away from home simply because they do not want to find out where the gym is and then go there. At Hilton, you won’t have this excuse anymore as the internationally famous hotelier is going to put the gym in guest rooms. The new room concept named “Five Feet to Fitness” includes a special fitness corner, so guests can work out whenever they want.
The “fully integrated fitness experience” includes a gym station, a stationary bike, a Fitness Kiosk, and a touch screen with various types of tutorial videos. Hilton won’t need to rebuild hotels in order to add the gym as it fits into a standard size room. It would take only US$45 more per key to add it. The hotelier promises that it’s very simple to set up and use, and adds that guests will quickly understand that it’s not just a piece of equipment installed in the room. The gym options will include core, strength, and suspension training. The Fitness Kiosk, which will be present in every room, will contain important accessories including muscle rub, protein, blackout shades, and a choice of drinks. Every room will be also supplied with a meditation chair that can be used to exercise.
The pilot rooms have already appeared in select hotels. By the end of the year, Hilton plans to have as many as 100 rooms with the gym.
