The Wyndham Garden brand launched the first prototype of a new hotel. For the construction cost of approximately US$115,000 per key, hotel owners will get modern architecture, functional design, efficient management and new all-day dining concept.
The original idea behind the Wyndham Garden brand is to make “a garden hotel”; therefore, the design implies rich use of natural materials and greenery. Nearly half of all operating Wyndham Garden hotels are located near airports and in central parts of cities. The upgraded design with large windows and abundant natural light creates relaxed atmosphere and helps guests escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Nine prototypical hotels are already under development with the first one opening closer to summer 2017. The prototypes were developed together with design firm Krause+Sawyer. The seven-story hotel has a living wall made of moss and weathered wood. The lobby is called The Plaza Square and is an open space with check-in stations, decorated with garden-inspired artwork. The lounge zone is called The Green and features a fireplace, greenery and comfy furniture.
Dining is offered on 24/7 basis and includes gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan menus. The full-service bar, The Fountain, can be turned into a work station or a seating area. Guestrooms are made in soft natural colors and feature large windows, wood-like floors, open closets, dressing area and a mobile table.
