New Hotel Brand by Scandic
Scandic Hotels has revealed information about its new hotel brand that will operate under its own name, but will have an extension “by Scandic”. According to the Stockholm headquartered hotel company, the brand will be called HTL, and this will be a limited-service lifestyle brand with the first hotel starting to work already in the beginning of 2016.
The new brand will not have standard hotels in the lineup. It will be more tied to the place of its location and unique history of that place. HTL by Scandic hotels will also be signature properties perfect for social meetings. Scandic will rebrand some of its exsisting properties to HTL hotels. The first hotel to undergo the rebranding will be Scandic Grand Central that will be turned to Grand Central by Scandic. The company will also open a signature hotel in Stockholm under the new brand in spring 2016. Scandic has ambitious plans regarding its HTL brand, and wants to open few new properties in the Nordic countries in coming years.
