Aman announced the opening of its first hot spring resort in Japan. Operating under the Amanenu brand, the resort will be located in Ise Shima National Park which is around 300km of Tokyo. The hotel will greet its first guests in the first quarter of 2016.
Amanemu will consist of 24 suites and villas with two bedrooms. Each of them will have direct access to private onsen, Japanese hot spring bath. The resort will also include other facilities, such as a swimming pool, a restaurant, spa and lounge zone. Onsen resorts are traditional in Japan and offer access to nutrient-rich hot springs that are a traditional form of wellness in the country.
This is going to be the second hotel in Japan by Aman, with Aman Tokyo opened in December 2014 being the first property by the hotelier in the country. In Japan, Aman hopes to offer service that will fit highest local standards. The company wants to offer hotels in the places that unleash unique Japanese beauty, offer amazing cuisine and follow the “omotenashi” concept the special Japanese hospitality.
