Omni Hotels Launch Mobile Booking

Omni Hotels & Resorts now offer mobile booking for mobile devices through its application and through the company’s website. Moreover, guests now have access to a new wonderful feature – 24h mobile hold.

The new 24h hold function makes it easier to research various amazing locations and make vacation packages. The selected hotel room can be held for 24h without any booking. No credit card confirmation is required and no payment or penalty is charged in case of cancelation. In order to hold the selected room, guests simply need to enter name, email and phone number, and press “finalize”. After that, Omni will send an email that confirms the 24h hold. Once that period is over, the room is automatically released without any charges.

According to research by Omni, almost half of hotel guests make hotel research using smartphones or tablets, but when it comes to booking, most guests still prefer their desktops. The new feature allows reserving the hotel that guests liked, so then they can easily book it without any search. This is not the first initiative of such kind by Omni. In 2008, the hotelier enabled mobile check-in for all hotels, and in 2013 Omni added its loyalty program to Google Wallet.
