Hilton Worldwide has very ambitious plans regarding its expansion in China, and the latest news only prove that. The famous hotelier announced its collaboration with Plateno Hotels Group, according to which the company will open more than 400 hotels in China under its Hampton brand. The first hotel is set to open closer to the end of 2015. It is reported that Hilton considers opening Hampton hotels in newly built buildings, rebranding existing hotels and adapting properties. Plateno, in its turn, will be the main developer of these hotels and will also act as a managing organization.
Hilton explains its choice of Hampton as desire to expand its presence in the midscale segment of Chinese hotel market. Hampton is a very popular midscale brand, and, fuelled by partnership with Plateno, it may quickly gain many loyal clients in the country. Currently, there is strong demand for midscale hotels in China, and this demand is growing, making economic hotels less sought after by travellers. Hampton offers a series of options and services that will be surely liked by both domestic and international visitors, such as free Wi-Fi, clean comfortable rooms and quality beds perfect for rest. Hampton hotels in China will have special on-site amenities, such as bars and restaurants that work round the clock, gaming zones, fitness centres, and more.
Currently, Hilton operates five hotel brands in China with more than 17,000 guestrooms in total. The company also has one of biggest hotel pipelines in the country around 50,000 guestrooms.
