One of luxury hotels in the City of Light, Paris, is finally open and welcomes its guests. The Peninsula was opened earlier this month after a long restoration that lasted four years. The opening also marks the debut of the brand in Europe.
The hotel welcomed special guests on the opening ceremony. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, gave a speech that was followed by ribbon-cutting ceremony. Guests could also see performance of Chinese lions that honor Asian heritage of the company. The Peninsula Paris is the tenth Peninsula hotel in general but the first one in Europe. It took four years to build and design the hotel, maintaining historic look of the building, but making it convenient to most discerning visitors. Peninsula hotels are opened in carefully selected destinations, and it took several years to find a suitable spot in Europe to open the debut property.
The opening of the hotel created 530 new full-time jobs and their number will be increased to 600 by the end of the year. All restoration works gathered as many as 3000 professionals from different areas architects, craftsmen, designers, etc. The result of their work is truly impressive the new hotel has 200 guestrooms, six restaurants and bars, the Peninsula Spa, private reception rooms and more. Beautiful rooftop terrace is the place, from which guests will be able to enjoy magnificent 360° views of Paris. Located at 19 Avenue Kleber, the hotel features simple assess to sights and shops of the central part of the city.
The hotelier decided to celebrate the opening of the new hotel in Paris by a series of France-inspired events in The Peninsula hotels worldwide. Guests are welcome to enjoy French style and art de vivre by trying special French spa treatments, French patisseries and afternoon teas, watching movies and much more.
