W Hotels has finally marked its presence in Swiss Alps. The brand’s owner, Starwood, opened W Verbier and The Residences at W Verbier. Both the hotels are a part of a large development project at the foot of the Verbier ski slopes. Guests of the hotel will enjoy simple ski-in and ski-out access, many exciting alpine activities and traditional comfort of the W brand.
The owner of the building is Les Trois Rocs. The company was fascinated with the lifestyle concept of W Hotels. This is something new for the country, so Verbier, one of the most popular ski resorts in the world, is a good choice for the debut W hotel in Switzerland. The opening of the hotel happened 15 years after the opening of the first W hotel in New York in 1998. Currently, the portfolio of the brand includes 45 hotels around the world, and the number of hotels is expected to grow by 60 in 2017.
The hotel has 122 stylish guestrooms and 1 Extreme WOW Suite (this is how traditional Presidential Suite is called in W hotels). The hotel also includes 15 spacious W Residences. All guestrooms and the suite are equipped with a fireplace and a balcony, from which guests are able to enjoy unforgettable view. Dining facilities of the restaurant are also nothing but gorgeous. The hotel’s restaurant Arola is headed by two Michelin-starred Chef Sergi Arola, who opens his first restaurant in Switzerland. Guests of the restaurant will be amazed by innovative cuisine and quality of the dishes served there. The second restaurant, Eat-Hola, offers tapas menu that changes every day and a 25-metre long bar. W Living Room is a great place to enjoy après-ski cocktails, and Carve bar with DJ music is a wonderful place to spend an evening. W Verbier has a 800 sq. m. large signature AWAY Spa centre, FIT fitness centre, and W Studios perfect for meeting and event purposes.
