New Hotels in the UK and Ireland by Choice

News Choice Hotels will expand its British portfolio by adding five hotels in the UK and Ireland. In the Midlands, the hotelier will convert two existing hotels. These will be Quality Hotel Wolverhampton that will be rebranded from The Connaught Hotel, and in the airport of Birmingham the hotelier will open Quality Hotel Birmingham Airport/NEC. When the hotels are open, Choice Hotels will expand its portfolio in the region to seven hotels.

Quality Hotel Wolverhampton will have 60 guestrooms and will be located in a walking distance to the Wolverhampton City Centre. The hotel features convenient access to all major roads and highways of the city. The second hotel is both owned and operated by Hospitality First that has concluded a franchise agreement with Choice. As it is not hard to guess from its name, Quality Hotel Birmingham Airport/NEC is located not far away from Birmingham International Airport. Close to the hotel there are also such important objects as the City Centre and Birmingham National Exhibition Centre.

Next two hotels are owned by Akkeron Hotels Group Limited, a strategic partner of Choice starting from this year. The first hotel is Clarion Collection Hotel Makeney Hall, which is formerly known as the Mackeney Hall Hotel. This is a beautiful mansion built in the Victorian style in the heart of Derbyshire. The 46-guestroom hotel is surrounded by six acres of gardens. The other hotel is no less gorgeous – Clarion Collection Hotel Winchester Royal was built in the 16th century. The hotel is located in the central part of the city, so it has convenient access to all major roads, sights, and office buildings.

Finally, the fifth hotel is located in Dublin. Operating under the Ascend Hotel Collection brand, the hotel is located in the new cultural club in Dublin. It takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the airport from the 252-guestroom property, and if you make a short walk along the Liffey River, you will get to the city centre.
