The company described ways, using which it managed to reach the reduction of energy. First, it added Wyndham Green Toolbox to its properties. That is special eco-software that measures environmental impact of hotels. The next step concerned certifying the company’s hotels. More properties received environmental certificates. Some hotels were even equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.
Hotel rooms have also been modernized in many hotels, and old materials were replaced with new eco-friendly ones. Room cleaning was changed as now hotel rooms are cleaned with eco-friendly supplies. Of course, no energy reduction is possible without efficient lighting system. Wyndham has switched to Energy Star lighting system with CFLs.
