Hilton Hotels & Resorts network, one of the most famous and respected names in the modern hotel industry, has topped the annual “The Leading Hotel Brand of 2010 in Asia” chart according to the report made by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) together with Media, a popular advertising magazine of the region. TNS added the category “Travel & Leisure” to its yearly report in 2009. Since then Hilton gets the first rank for the second time.
In total over 3,300 people participated in the research. The study covered 10 markets and respondents were asked to tell about hotels in Thailand, Japan, China, India, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Consumers needed to give answers to the questions concerning their favorite brand in each hotel category, the hotels they trust the most, and what hotels have the best reputation in terms of services and maintaining the standards of quality. All respondents were also asked the following question – “Then you think of this category, what is the best brand that comes to your mind (the best brand means the one you trust and the one that has the best reputation in this category)?”
Currently Hilton owns 47 hotels in Asia and over 530 hotels worldwide. Within next 2 months several new hotels are scheduled for opening. These are Hilton hotel in Pattaya (Thailand), Hongqiao hotel in Shanghai (China) and Hilton Chennai Guindy (India).
