Pullman Hotels announced that it had won the tender concerning the building and managing of a 200-guestroom hotel in the future Liverpool Exhibition Centre. The cost of the project is £26 million. This is more than a half of the cost of the whole exhibition centre the building at the Kings Dock costs £40 million.
The brand Pullman Hotels belongs to one of the top hoteliers in the world Accor. According to the company, this is going to be a four-star hotel with the total square of 10,500 sq. m. The hotel will have seven stores and will offer various business and meeting facilities. In addition to this, the hotel will have a fitness centre, a bar and a restaurant. The hotel will become a part of the ACC Liverpool. The detailed description of the hotel and its design has been already given to local authorities. If this plan is approved, building works will start already in October 2013, and the hotel will start operating in spring 2015.
Local authorities are very delighted with the deal. Joe Anderson, mayor of Liverpool, commented the contract, telling they were glad to attract such a big name as Pullman to the exhibition centre. This partnership will certainly bring ACC Liverpool to the international level.
