The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the opening of a hotel in one of the most dynamic places in Turkey Istanbul Ataturk Airport. One of the most quickly developing hotel companies in the world and a part of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will debut with its Park Inn brand in Turkey by opening a hotel in Istanbul. The new hotel is expected to start operating in the beginning of 2014, and it will have 144 guestrooms.
Commenting the deal, the Rezidor’s CEO Mr Neumann mentioned that Turkey had always been the key market for the company. The country in general and Istanbul in particular is an important hub located between Europe and Asia, so the country’s and city’s importance will only strengthen.
The Park Inn Istanbul Ataturk Airport will be a perfect addition to another hotel of the company in the same hotel Radisson Blu Conference and Airport Hotel Istanbul. The new Park Inn hotel is located approximately 5 km from Ataturk International Airport. This airport, which serves as many as 45 million passengers every year, is known as the largest airport in the country and the 6th busiest airport in Europe. The hotel will offer pickup from the airport, and will also provide delivery to the business districts of Istanbul located nearby and to the CNR Expo, the largest exhibition space of the city.
The hotel will be located in the building of the former business centre. The property will feature various facilities, such as a lobby bar, a restaurant, a wellness area, and an underground parking. Business facilities will be represented by a large 600 sq. m. ballroom and several meeting rooms. Park Inn is a midscale brand of the company, and Rezidor mostly wants to attract visitors from Gen X (people born between 1965 and 1981) and some younger travellers from Gen Y (1982-1990).
