Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced its new project. The company will open its first hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. The hotel will be a part of a large mixed-used development the Quasar Istanbul complex and is to open in 2016.
The Quasar Istanbul complex will be located in the district of Sisli, a popular district not far from major attractions of the city. The district is mostly known as a popular commercial and residential area with some large trading and entertainment complexes. The complex will occupy the building of the former Mecidiyekoy Liqueur and Cognac Factory. The factory was built in the 1930s and was designed by Robert Mallet-Stevens, who was known as one of the most influential architects of that period. The complex will have two towers, 41 stores each. These towers will be located close to the main 4-storey office building with luxury stores and fitness centres. The towers will house Fiarmont and Quasar Residences, a Fiarmont Hotel, and some offices. All of them will be managed by Fairmont.
The Fairmont hotel in Istanbul will have the Fairmont Gold program, a kind of “hotel within a hotel” offering, as well as several lounges and restaurants, 2000 sq. m. large function space, and a Willow Stream Spa. Fiarmont and Quasar Residences will offer 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, studios, and 3-bedroom duplexes. Residences of serviced apartments will have a private lounge, a wine cellar, access to all facilities of the hotel at discounted price, and 24h concierge service. Owners of serviced apartments will have VIP status in all Fairmont hotels around the world.
