Centara Hotels & Resorts, a hotelier headquartered in Bangkok, has announced the launch of its new brand named COSI Hotels. The company describes its target customer as a modern person who is conscious of its savings, and who prefers to make bookings by himself, preferably online. COSI Hotels will offer customer-friendly prices and high quality of service.
The first accommodation working under the COSI brand is to open in 2015. Centara hopes that until 2020 its network of COSI hotels will include at least 30 fully operational properties. This will generate the income of approximately 2,200 million baht (around US$71.6 million). The amount of management fees is likely to reach 180 million baht (approximately US$5.9 million).
COSI hotels will offer averagely-priced hotels, where the price of a room will be 1,000-1,250 baht per night (US$32.55-40.69).
Centara has decided to launch this brand as a response to the rapid development of Asia Pacific and, therefore, the increase of the number of international and domestic travellers. The website of the company already has the logo of the new hotel brand. It is also reported that most of the sales will be performed online.
The name of the new brand, COSI, also has a special meaning. “C” means comfortable, “O” means open, “S” means sensible, and “I” means individual. This means that COSI hotels provide visitors with comfortable guestrooms, their rates are affordable and easy to understand (no hidden fees), hotels will feature eco-friendly design, and everyone is welcome to stay in COSI hotels.
All COSI hotels will have special services and facilities, such as free Wi-Fi, grab-n-go restaurants, an entertainment corner, various facilities for business guests, and more.
