Internationally famous US tycoon Donald Trump plans to open “one of the best hotels in Europe”. The hotel will be located next to Trump’s golf course in Aberdeenshire, the UK. The tycoon must have changed his mind as previously he announced no more investment until his plans of building an 11-turbine wind farm are approved. Regarding this project, Trump has to deal with Scottish Natural Heritage that is against the building of the farm.
Now the businessman wants to open a hotel near his golf course “for the sake of golfers”. Trump also threatens to file a lawsuit if his plans concerning the wind farm are denied. For now he wants to create the best hotel Scotland has ever seen.
No exact data concerning the hotel is available at the moment, so Trump expressed his point of view. He wants to open a large luxury hotel with approximately 450 guestrooms. The hotel will also include hundreds of holiday homes and a large spa. However, without the wind farm these plans are really doomed. Trump claims the farm is important because it and his project will help the economy of Scotland. However, some are worried not only about potential harm to the environment, but also about the possibility of turning iconic Firth of Clyde into a blighted area.
