Regal to Open Hotel in Yantai, Shandong

Regal Hotels International will add one more property to its Chinese portfolio by opening a hotel in Yantai, Shandong province. The 5-star Regal Furao Hotel Yantai is set to open in the second part of 2015.

The new hotel will occupy a large area of 36,000 sq. m., and will have 300 spacious and fully equipped guestrooms. Regal Furao will be a part of a large development – Furao Times Square, a large complex that will include a hotel, a financial centre, commercial space, retail space and residential apartments.

Yantai is a city located in the east part of the Shandong Peninsula. The city is mentioned in the list of 14 coastal cities which development was approved by Chinese government, so there’s little wonder why hoteliers try to mark their presence there.

The new hotel by regal will feature a beneficial location in the central part of the Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area. Close proximity to Changjiang Road makes this hotel a perfect location for both leisure and business travellers. The builder of the hotel is Furao Group – a private enterprise specializing in manufacture of environment-friendly building materials.

Regal Hotels already has rich experience in managing hotels in China. Currently the hotelier operates 7 hotels in mainland China and 6 more hotels in Hong Kong. The company also has hotels in pipeline in the cities of Foshan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xi’an, Kunshan, Zhengzhou, Suzhou and the abovementioned hotel in Yantai. Together with projects under construction Regal Hotels has a portfolio of more than 8,000 guestrooms and 100 restaurants under construction.
