The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, one of the leading companies in luxury hospitality segment, has announced the opening of the debut property in Vietnam. This is going to be The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon). The opening of this hotel is another step forward in the company’s desire to enhance its presence in Asia.
The owner of the Ritz-Carlton Saigon is Bitexco Group, one of the most famous developers in the country. The 250-guestroom hotel will be located right in the historic center of the city close to all main sights and shopping centers. The hotel will be adjacent to the widely famous Ben Thanh Square market. The Ritz-Carlton will be located in a 48-storey tower that is a part of the ambition project called The One Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the hotel the complex will include 350 luxury apartments, exclusive business space and numerous outlets. The design of the hotel is the work of the award-winning Bernardo Fort-Brescia, US, who works for Arquitectonica Architects. While working over design of this hotel, the architect was inspired by dragons, which occupy a special place in Vietnamese culture. According to Fort-Brecia, he sees the two towers of the complex as two dragons that rise from the ground.
Ho Chi Minh City slowly becomes very popular among travellers who admire this city for its vibrant life and intriguing culture. The hotel, which is set to open in 2017, will occupy a prime location in the city, so it many become the choice of many visitors who come to this city.
