Some big news has come from Switzerland, where a local firm headed by a Russian tycoon will make a great resort in the Swiss Alps. The costs associated with the construction of the resort exceed $600 million. The building is to start in 2013. The opening of such a massive resort is told to boost popularity of Switzerland as a tourist destination.
Aminora Luxury Resort is a Swiss-based firm that has just got its project approved by Swiss federal Court. The authority did not find any environmental problems connected with the building of the resort and gave it the green light.
The luxury five-star complex is called Royal Village. Once finished, it will be able to accommodate up to 2,500 guests, and, thus, will be the largest resort of the country. The hotel in Switzerland will have 30 bars and restaurants, an artificial lake, a ski gondola, and a night club. The resort will be located not far away from beautiful Matterhorn Mountain.
The managing director of Aminona Vladimir Marakutsa says the building works will start in the spring of next year and first guests will arrive in 2017. This project can be considered as confidence of investors in the tourist potential of Switzerland despite quite unsuccessful 2011, when the tourist industry of the country suffered from strong Swiss franc.
