Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced it will open three more hotels in China. The conference dedicated to this announcement took place in Radisson Blu Plaza Xing Guo hotel in Shanghai. The internationally renowned hotelier will open three hotels in emerging cities of China. These will be Radisson Blu hotel in Wuhan ETD Zone, Radisson Blu Plaza hotel in Wuxi, and Radisson Blu hotel in Chengdu.
The company’s spokesman commented the new deal telling these locations were to become very important as top cities of the country thanks to a large amount of foreign investments and, thus, many visitors from different parts of the world.
Radisson Blu Plaza hotel in Wuxi will have 300 guestrooms and is to have a prime location in the district of Xishan – one of the most rapidly developing parts of Wuxi. The hotel will occupy a part of a 42-storey building which is among the tallest in Wuxi. The opening of the hotel is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014.
Radisson Blu hotel in Chengdu East will have 242 guestrooms and will be the first Carlson Rezidor branded property in Chengdu, Sichuan province’s capital. The hotel will occupy a part of the Media Plaza, a large mixed use development. The property will start serving its first guests in April 2014.
Finally, the third hotel, Radisson Blu Wuhan ETD Zone, features 325 guestrooms and 23 suites. The hotel will be the first accommodation managed by Carlson in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei. The hotel is to start operating in summer 2014.
