World Travel Awards reports that Sandals Resorts, Caribbean’s largest hotel chain, reputed to be Carribean’s Leading Hotel Brand over the past 15 years, has announced its plans to build water villas as part of Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort. This is one of its best hotels located on the island of St. Lucia.
This is just another big project by the rapidly developing company following the major reconstruction of Four Seasons resort Great Exuma hotel, Bahamas, acquired in August. The renovated Sandals Emerald Bay hotel was triumphantly opened on January 22, 2010, on Great Exuma Island.
Construction will begin in January 2011. This is going to be a first-of-its-kind project in the Caribbean. The water villas will accept first reservations in the beginning of 2012. Guests will enjoy a new kind of luxury experience at Sandals Resorts, a wonderful addition to Sandals Emerald Bay hotel with a house-steward in each room.
The complex will include 26 villas in 3 categories. A sunbath on a terrace, a view on the gleaming sea and a rest in a hammock swinging above a turquoise lagoon to the beat of the waves, a cool shower or a hot tub – all that is about the new water villa complex. Sandals are a group of all inclusive hotels that are expected to break the common negative stereotype about Caribbean hotels.
