Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Brand Will Appear in Romania

Marriott Internationals continues its expansion throughout Europe and announces the opening of the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Romania. This will be the 147-guestroom hotel in Bucharest that is to open in the beginning of 2014. The property will be opened in accordance with a management agreement with Gica Popescu Hotels SRL.

Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest will be the second property in the city managed by this internationally famous hotelier – it will join JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. Bucharest is not only the largest city in Romania, but also a large industrial and commercial hub, so the choice of the hotelier is absolutely understandable. Moreover, Bucharest has two airports and a well-developed railway system that connects the city with other parts of the country and with other major European destinations. This hotel will be the 47th accommodation in Marriott’s European portfolio.

The new hotel will be located in the business part of the city, so it will feature convenient access to all major agencies and transportation hubs. The hotel will be mainly targeted at business travellers and will feature modern design and comfortable guestrooms with all amenities important for business travellers.

The hotel’s lobby will be equipped with interactive GoBoard screen that will broadcast latest news and local information; the lobby will also have comfortable seats perfect for work. Especially for visitors who work long hours there will be a 24-hour market with sandwiches and salads. Dining facilities will be represented by an all-day restaurant. The hotel will also have a spa and fitness centre.
