Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has recently informed that the company will act under another name in China. The internationally renowned hotelier famous for its Swiss quality and attention to details will operate as Rui Xiang.
This name has been picked after long collaboration with Interbrand. In order to select it, the company has made a large research in largest cities of China including Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shanghai.
The hotelier, which main office is headquartered in Glattbrugg, Switzerland, has also launched a new website on Mandarin. Mövenpick has opened a new office in Shanghai and is looking forward to developing its business in one of the most attractive and highly developing hotel markets of the world.
Currently Mövenpick has three hotels in China under development. These are the 380 guestroom Mövenpick Resort & Spa Phoenix Island hotel in Sanya, the 300 guestroom Mövenpick Hotel Jiading in Shanghai (these hotels will open already this year), and Mövenpick Hotel & State Guest House Chifeng in Inner Mongolia that opens in 2015.
Mövenpick has explained their decision to change the company’s name by an aim to provide more personal service. China is currently crowded with anonymous multi-national companies, and Mövenpick wants to provide its customers with warm human approach and reliability that the Swiss is famous for.
