New Hotel Brand in London – Lalit Hotels

Bharat Hotels, an Indian hotelier with the chain of hotels and resorts across the country, has acquired its first property the UK. The 70-guestroom hotel in London will be the first accommodation in the UK to operate under the Lalit brand.

The building of the hotel is a former academic institute. Bharat Hotels currently renovates the building, which will operate as Lalit hotel. The deal concerning the purchase of the building was conducted two months ago. In order to purchase the property, Bharat Hotels had to overcome two other organizations interested in this building.

Currently Bharat Hotels operates nine luxury hotels in India. The company plans to expand its business to new regions and open hotels in Dubai and Thailand. The hotelier also has ambitious plans concerning the expansion within its home country. The company plans to open 25 new hotels across India until 2015. All hotels will operate under the Lalit Traveller brand dedicated to budget accommodations. A part of investments will be also used for new luxury accommodations.
