Hong Kong headquartered hotelier New World Hotels has revealed its plans concerning the expansion throughout Asia. The company is very ambitious about its core brand Pentahotels and wants to represent it to the local public as a “neighborhood lifestyle hotel”.
The history of Pentahotels goes back to 1971, when the hotel brand was created as a joint venture between European and British airlines. However, the first hotel under this brand was opened in Germany in 2007. Today the network of Pentahotels includes 13 hotels in Europe and two Pentahotels in China (hotels in Beijing and Shanghai). The company has also revealed its plans concerning the opening of two more hotels in China. These will be the 390-guestroom Pentahotel in Shenyang, and the 197-guestroom hotel in Guiyang, which are expected to start operating in 2014 and 2013 respectively. In general New World Hospitality plans to have as many as 80 hotels around the world by 2020.
Every Pentahotel is equipped with a large lounge zone that is perfect for various purposes, a place for gathering designed in a bistro style, and modern design of guestrooms distinguished by trendy style and creativity. The 307-guestroom hotel in Beijing reflects the concept of the neighborhood lifestyle, and features comfortable guestrooms with dark timber floors and design made in white and blue palette. All public areas are made in earth tones and have brick walls, charcoal granite flooring, and wool rugs. The design of the hotel is created by Shanghai-based Neri & Nu. In future Pentahotels plans to open hotels in large urban centers, rail stations and airports, exhibition complexes or convention centers.
