Philippe Starck, a French guru of design, will make his debut in Asia by remaking the design of JIA hotel in Hong Kong. After this the luxurious boutique hotel will change its name to J Plus Boutique Hotel. The reopening of the renewed property is scheduled on May.
The general manager of the hotel states that such decision is the result of the ongoing craving for cutting edge design and great service.
The main concept of the hotel is “home from home”. Chic 56 guestrooms of the hotel feature homely atmosphere and look more like highly fashionable apartments rather than hotel rooms. The hotel will feature 360 sq. ft. studios and 780 sq. ft. one bedroom suites. All rooms are distinguished by stylish surrounding, designer fixtures and modern amenities. Guestrooms have living, dining and working areas that are separated by sheer curtains. All guestrooms have fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The guestrooms also contain free broadband Internet, flat screen TVs, home theaters, and surround sound. Instead of the top floor penthouse the hotel is equipped with a fitness center and conference facilities.
