Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that it will open Park Hyatt hotel in Busan. This will be the fifth hotel in South Korea working under this brand. Hyatt will manage the accommodation which is built by Hyundai Development Company, the local development firm. The hotel, which opening is scheduled for 2013, will be a part of a mixed use complex. Apart from the hotel the complex will include one office tower, three residential towers, restaurants and a department store. The complex has truly prominent location, as the 10 acres of space dedicated to the complex border with Haeundae Beach.
The hotelier hopes that the new accommodation will attract their loyal customers and will provide a range of high quality services. Unique location and noble history of Hyatt Park brand will definitely have much appeal to both business and leisure customers.
Park Hyatt hotel in Busan will have 268 guestrooms and 69 suites. The size of the suites will vary from 49.7 sq. m. to 200 sq. m. In the territory of the hotel will be also located a fitness center, a lounge in the hotel’s lobby, an indoor pool, a spa center with 7 treatment rooms, and three restaurants. The hotel in constructed in accordance with the project by Daniel Libeskind, a New York architect, and the Tokyo-headquartered firm Super Potato is in charge of developing the hotel’s design.
Busan is the second largest city in Korea and a popular vacation destination for both international and local travellers. The city is also a perfect choice for shopping as it is home to numerous shopping centers including the largest department store in the world – Shinsegae Centum City.
