Hilton Worldwide has just announced the launch of its DoubleTree brand in Japan. The McLean-headquartered hotelier will operate the new property in accordance with the agreement with ASV Investment Co.
The tenth property by Hilton in the country and the first DoubleTree-branded accommodation in Japan will be opened in Naha – the capital of Okinawa. The 228-guestroom DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Naha may start operating already in the middle of this year.
Hilton spokesman has mentioned they consider Japan one of their key markets. Hilton brand has a strong recognition among the inhabitants of the country and is proud of its 50-year long history in Japan. DoubleTree by Hilton will become the third brand of the company represented in Japan.
The new hotel will be located in the central part of the business district of the city. The hotel has tight connection to major transport hubs of the city – Naha Airport is just 11 minutes away, the distance to ferry terminal estimates 500 meters, and just opposite to the hotel is located Okinawa monorail station. The main shopping district of the city – Kokusai Dori – is located just 1 kilometer away. The hotel will be a great choice for business visitors, who work with various governmental agencies, as close to the hotel are located Okinawa City Hall, Electricity Supply Bureau, Commerce Authority and Tax Bureau. The 13-storey hotel will be equipped with all modern amenities and services, such as a restaurant and a bar, a beauty salon, meeting rooms, car parking and more.
