Scandic has issued the report it will open a new hotel in Norway in collaboration with Ogreid Eiendom. The new accommodation will be located in the center of Stavanger and is expected to start operating in 2013.
The new hotel in Stavanger will be located right in the heart of the city and will occupy a unique architectural building. Among 210 rooms of the hotel will be special guestrooms for disabled customers. Such facilities as meeting rooms, a restaurant, and a lobby bar will be located at the street level. Meeting rooms have enough space for up to 300 people in total (the largest meeting space can accommodate up to 100 guests). Of course, there will be such facilities as a fitness center or a shop in the lobby. The hotel will be also equipped with an underground garage.
Scandic is known as the most rapidly growing hotel company is Norway. Since 2010 Scandic has opened as many as 7 new hotels in this country. The hotelier considers Norway one of its key markets and plans to continue expansion on this market.
This will be the second hotel in Stavanger by this company. Together the hotels will expand the capacity of the hotelier in this city to 450 rooms.
