New Concept and Design of W Paris – Opera

W Hotels Worldwide will make its debut in the capital of France already in February 14, 2012 by opening a luxurious hotel in a 19th century Haussman-era building. New W Paris Opera hotel will be only managed by W Hotels as the property’s owner is Barcelona-headquartered Meridia Capital.

The design of the new hotel is the result of the collaboration between Rockwell Group Europe and W Global Brand Design. Rockwell Group Europe (RGE) is widely known for its iconic projects and several international design awards. W Global Brand Design has been working since 1998. The company has developed designs for numerous famous W hotels.

The new hotel is located just one street away from Opera Garnier. Such location will surely bring much attention to the property and it may become a noticeable landmark in the city. While developing the design of the new hotel, the companies have tried to combine three aspects – the historic look of the building, the sense of energy that W hotels are famous for, and the atmosphere of Paris as the “City of Light”. The result of this work is “The Spark” – the main creative idea. Dynamic lines and design from New York and culture and sophistication of Paris have organically combined in this project.

The hotel will be a perfect place for fashionistas and jetsetters, who will find in this hotel in Paris unique cutting-edge design, richness, and elegance. All elevators, staircases and DJ booth are painted in bright red. The central part of the building is the location of a large backlit digital undulating wall that will change its pattern depending on the season, time of the day, and even weather. Despite such innovations historical details of the house, such as vaulted ceilings, marble fireplaces and columns with ornament have been restored.

The hotel will have 91 trendy guestrooms and 20 suites. Besides them the hotel will have 2 presidential Suites that are called Extreme WOW Suites that have circular beds 3m in diameter. The hotel will be equipped with a bar, a signature restaurant, a fitness center, and other facilities.
