Hilton continues expanding in the Middle East. This time the internationally famous hotelier has concluded an agreement with Al Habtoor Group, Dubai, concerning the opening of a hotel in the United Arab Emirates and two hotels in Lebanon. All hotels already operate under other brands, and will be rebranded by Hilton. In the UAE Hilton will open its first hotel in Dubai under Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand. In Lebanon the company will convert the 183-key Metropolitan Palace and the 195-key Habtoor grand hotels into Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace and Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand respectively. These hotels in Beirut are located in the center of the city and may start operating already in the beginning of 2012.
Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah will have 324 guestrooms and will be the first hotel under the legendary brand in Dubai. The hotel will have an advantageous location and will feature a number of facilities and its signature service. This accommodation may welcome its first guests in the end of 2013.
The president and CEO of Hilton Worldwide Chrostopher Nassetta says the company is happy to enter the hotel market of Lebanon and hopes these two hotels are just the beginning. The company also thinks that Waldorf Astoria hotel brand is internationally famous for its heritage and traditions, so this is a perfect choice for Dubai.
