Aloft Hotels is a relatively new player of the highly competitive hotel market, but the pace of development of this brand is simply amazing. With four new hotels scheduled for opening Aloft increases its portfolio to as much as 52 properties worldwide.
This brand has evolved from Starwood Hotels & Resorts and uses its special approach to select-service accommodations. The new openings include Aloft hotel in New York in Brooklyn, Aloft Coimbatore Singanallur hotel in India, Aloft hotel in Zengzhou Shangjie (China), and Aloft hotel in Haiyang (China). The company expects to have around 70 hotels under the Aloft brand until 2013.
Simon Turner, the Starwood’s president of global development, mentions this brand has become really popular in the US, while its potential on emerging markets like China or India is truly hard to underestimate.
By the end of the year 6 hotels by this brand will start operating in different parts of the world. These will be accommodations in the UK, China, India, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Columbia Panama. Asia Pacific is currently the most fastest-growing market for this brand as 12 of the total 27 hotels under development are located there.
