Rezidor Opens Its New Hotel in Kuwait

Several days ago a new property by Rezidor opened in Kuwait City. Hotel Missoni Kuwait is the second accommodation by this brand in the world. The brand was launched in 2009 by opening a hotel in Edinburg. The Missoni brand is owned by the Rezidor Hotel Group.

This luxurious 169-key hotel is located in the magnificent Symphony Center – a boutique emporium right in the center of Kuwait’s main shopping district. Rezidor acts as a managing organization for the property.

Rezidor’s current plans include the strengthening of the hotelier’s position on the Middle East market. Kuwait is chosen as a destination for launching new hotel brands in the region not for the first time as the company has also opened here the first Radisson Blu hotel outside Scandinavian countries.

The design of Missoni hotel in Kuwait was created by Rosita Missoni. She was inspired by the local culture and the beautiful Arabian Gulf, and created the hotel in a palette of gold, green and turquoise. Guests of the hotel can also see the signature zigzag stripes that Missoni is famous for simply everywhere. In order to make them have been ordered and used around 10 million individual mosaic tiles. The tiles are also used in the flooring of the hotel’s swimming pool that also features magnificent views of the Arabian Gulf. All furniture in the hotel is selected by the designer.

All rooms of the hotel overlook the Arabian Sea. Rates for guestrooms in Missoni Hotel in Kuwait start from €280 and include high-speed Internet, breakfast, laundry, free local telephone, and minibar. All rooms are equipped with Bang & Olufsen televisions and iPads for check-in.

Other facilities include a 16,000 sq.-ft. Six Senses Spa, a fitness center, a sauna, a pool deck and several cafes and restaurants.
