Good news for the shareholders of the Paris-based hotelier Accor. After tough times and huge debts the company plans to get a profit of 5% in 2010. Such optimistic news has appeared after the company has announced the raise of revenues in the fourth quarter of 2010 to 9.4%. This result has become possible due to raise of occupancy levels and recovery of average rates per one room.
Before the taxes are paid, Accor plans to have around 440 million of euro. This figure is much better than the estimated sum of the revenue, which has been forecasted to reach 400 or max 420 million of euro.
The sales of the company on the fourth quarter reached 1.448 billion of euros, showing a great increase comparing to the experts’ forecasts. Such figure has become possible due to the performance of hotels in Germany (an increase of 13.4% in revenues). Hotels in Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt and other major German cities have had higher occupancy rates, causing the increase.
Total sales of Accor in 2010 reached €5.693 billion. This is 7.4% higher than in 2009.
