Edinburg headquartered City Inn chain of hotels has made a decision to change the name of its brand to Mint Hotel. The company’s managers state the new name is easier to memorize and it reflects the hotel’s policy better. Currently City Inn has 6 properties. These are the hotels in Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Birmingham. Founded in 1995, the company defines itself as a young and ambitious crew of professionals who set up highest goals. Within next 6 months the company will open new hotel in London and a hotel in Amsterdam. This will add over 1000 guest rooms to the portfolio of City Inn.
The new properties are Mint Hotel Tower London and Mint Hotel Amsterdam. Mint Hotel Tower London is planned for opening in December 20. This new 583-key accommodation will join the existing property in Westminster. Amsterdam debut will be the first property of this company outside the UK. A 533-key hotel is set for opening in spring 2011.
