Ruka, an Alpine ski resort in Finland, is constantly improving its infrastructure. Currently the building of Ruka Village Hotel is almost complete. The resort will set up a pedestrian zone across whole resort. When this hotel opens, all cars will be left on a special underground parking for 320 automobiles.
This hotel in Ruka is a perfect place for active alpine skiers as ski slopes start right when you leave Ruka Village Hotel. However, the place will be also a good choice for those travelers who prefer to stay indoors and want to get the most by relaxing and having fun. The hotel in Finland offers 40 high class rooms equipped with a sauna and a small kitchen. There are also 60 suites with 2 and 3 beds.
The appearance of a new hotel has made a positive impact on the whole resort. Soon new shops and restaurants will be opened here. Among them are Alphut (Swiss delicacy), Classic Pizza (pizzeria), Twin Peaks (bar) and more.
Guests of hotels in Ruka are offered to try their ski skills on 30 slopes with 26 of them working at nighttime as well. The maximum slope length estimates 1.3 km. The total length of alpine skiing tracks reaches 20 km. Among them 40% have blue level, 34% are marked as red level tracks and 26% are black level ones. Ruka Village hotel grand opening as well as celebration of new pedestrian zone opening will be held on November 12th. However, some slopes are already functioning – this winter ski resort has started winter season earlier than other European ski resorts.
