Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has announced it will start a complete renovation of three its properties in Spain and Tunisia. In addition to this 2 new hotels are launched. In June Iberostar added to its portfolio Royal El Mansour hotel in Mahdia, Tunisia. The second new property has been opened in another Tunisian city – Sousse (Diar El Andalous hotel).
This hotel company is a Mallorca native, so there’s no wonder why Iberostar tries to improve its position in this popular tourist destination. Two of its hotels in Mallorca – Royal Cupido and Club Cala Barca – have been just reopened after major renovation. The third hotel scheduled for renovation is Coral Beach Hotel in Marbella – another popular resort. This hotel in Spain has been recently purchased by Iberostar and will open its doors again in April 2011.
Mallorca is known as an upper class resort and so Iberostar plans to attract tourists who seek premium rest. Royal Cupido hotel is a 168-key 4 star accommodation in Playa de Palma, Mallorca. Near the hotel there is a modern golf course that is considered to be one of the best ones on this island. The hotel has an elegant refined style with chic décor. On the territory of the hotel there are a restaurant, several bars, chill out zone and a 4,305 sq. ft. Zen Space Spa. Club Cala Balca is a huge hotel with 651 rooms. Total costs for its renovation estimated $24 million. This hotel is family oriented with special tour programs, clubs and gaming zones for kids. Adults may enjoy traditional Mediterranean design, newly refurbished rooms and accurate parks on the territory of Club Cala Balca.
