The room concept of this small hotel in Germany, located on the border with France, is based on a detective theme. Each hotel room is decorated with portraits of Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock. Here the guests can see Miss Marple's umbrella and Sherlock Holmes' favourite pipe as well as other things featured in the most famous detective stories of XIX-XX centuries.
The hotel offers only 10 rooms, each designed in strict accordance with the crime scenes described in the novels of Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle. According to the managing director Christoph Benke, he had to spend tens of thousands of euros to make hotel rooms look that way.
"Most of the things we had bought from antique dealers. We have recreated not only the atmosphere but decorated each guest room as it is described by Agatha Christie and other writers of detective novels," he said.
Moreover, those who dare to stay at this unusual hotel, will be waken up by chilling screams and suspicious rustling every morning.
