JW Marriott hotel in Hong Kong has incorporated its GoThere Virtual Meeting Public Telepresence Studio – a new kind of electronic telecommunications facility that permits guests to get in touch and hold online real-time conferences with associates from different parts of the world. This is the first hotel with such a system in Hong Kong. Earlier, JW Marriott in San Francisco installed the system, and now it has established a live connection with JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong along with AT&T Malaisia and Cisco Shanghai. JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is the first one in the Asia to join the project.
Mark Conklin, General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, emphasizes Marriott's current strategy aimed at implementing and promoting state-of-the-art communication facilities across the hotel chain. Willingness to cooperate with AT&T and Cisco is highly indicative of the company's devotion to the business and striving to provide premium quality services for business travelers from around the globe.
Located on the 30th floor of the hotel, the Cisco Telepresence Studio is equipped with high definition audio and video, which includes a advanced LCD television. The Executive Boardroom offers a scenic view on the Victoria Harbor and features exquisite interior design.
