Four Season Luxury Hotel Group, which is partially owned by Bill Gates, has announced its plans to open 4 new hotels in India over the next 5 years. According to Four Seasons’ official announcement, more than 1000 rooms will be added to the group’s Indian portfolio. These new hotels are expected to be both business- and guest-oriented.
‘We are planning to open two new hotels in Bangalore and Gurgaon and two resorts in Keral and Jaipoor by 2015. Thus we shall extend our room capacity by more than 1000 rooms”, said Sanjeev Shukla, Four Seasons marketing director. He also noted that the company will work in close association with local developing companies. They will provide investment, while Four Season is expected to manage the hotels and brand them, traveldailynews.com. reports.
The hotels in Bangalore and Gurgaon will be business-oriented, while the resorts will be tourist-oriented. The company started its expansion in India back in 2008, and today it owns a 202-room boutique hotel in Mumbai.
Currently, Four Seasons is shared by Bill Gates and Alvalid bin Talala, the Prince of Saudi Arabia. The group owns 86 properties around the globe.
